My Favourite Faded Fantasy//
But then none of the above really matters. Only one thing that’s important and worth remembering this year – and I will use this song to commemorate it. Or Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, but that tune is SO 2013.

Goal: One fruit per day at least, drink plenty of water, talk to more people.

July/ August Films

begin again

I forgot about this blog again. Anyway 2014 seems a good year for film viewing, so far we have already got great films released in Hong Kong like Begin Again, The Lunchbox, Grand Budapest Hotel etc. (And I am looking forward to Him/Her and the new Woody Allen’s film.) And surprisingly my second fave of  the last two months was Break Up 100. Desert Dancer and The Great Hypnotist are pretty good too.

Yet Temporary Family is doomed to be a very strong contender in being the shittest HK film this year on my list (alongside Aberdeen). No style, no substance (or skin-deep thoughts pretending to be something of a higher level). And worst of all I can’t imagine a director that can make Sammi Cheng looks so unattractive.

The Three Oddest Words

The Three Oddest Words

When I pronounce the word Future,
the first syllable already belongs to the past.

When I pronounce the word Silence,
I destroy it.

When I pronounce the word Nothing,
I make something no non-being can hold.

By Wislawa Szymborska

(NB: A friend shared this on FB, I want to put this down.)

The other day I was grumpy about the traffics (thats pretty much the only thing they gets me grumpy everyday) but then I thought of it the reverse way… I should be happy that I don’t have to do it everyday – morning and evening – anymore.

And then something happened at the pier when I was about to go Macau yesterday. It reminds me how tiny Hong Kong – and the world is. And we are all so insignificant. I should be pissed and grumpy, but I aint really so. Does it say something? Good intention is stupid, but try keep it any way.

Anyway click here for pics from a recent Taiwan trip.

We’ve come so far to give up who we are.

I can’t believe all these things happening to me these few years. So much ups and downs. And now, a dream comes true. All I long for and imagine last few years. Just make things happen, everyone.
